Support Rally from MAMC to Jantar Mantar

The rally turned out to be a huge achievement. People turned up in large numbers to support Youth for Equality. There was a crowd of over 3000 people marching from MAMC to the heart of Delhi. This time the rally included not only students from Delhi but from colleges outside Delhi. The Delhi Police made provisions for a peaceful support rally. A street play depicting how the reservations have come into being was performed.

The rally ended in the center of Delhi, at Jantar Mantar, where the participants took an oath (led by Dr. Lochan), and decided to continue with the agitation. The undermentioned oath proclaimed that the youth will show their strength and solidarity in their fight for justice.

OATH

We, the YOUTH of India, swear that today, in the center of delhi, we have shown our strength, we have shown the country what the Youth can do. Now the time has come to show the Congress party what we will do. We hearby swear that from this moment on, each and every second of our life, we will campaign against the Congress party. This is the time and they have to listen. We will make them pay.

We thank the people who turned up at the rally for their support, and the Delhi Police for their arrangements and cooperation.

As of today, colleges outside Delhi that have joined us in our quest for justice include:

  • BHU Medical College
  • BHU School of Social Sciences
  • Udaipur Medical College
  • Bikaner Medical College
  • VSS Medical College, Burla, Orissa

http://reservationfacts.blogspot.com/

Management quota is

1) Illegal [donations are illegal acc. to UGC , and for which they can be deaffiliated ].
2) It affects more people as private colleges comprise 70% of the total seats.
3) It divides rich and poor people [as u say reservations should be provided to poor, here it is reservation for the rich].
4) It compromises merit and SC/ST quota acc to u just satisfies last 2 points but its not illegal.

BUT STILL SOME PEOPLE PROTEST AGAINST SC/ST QUOTA [EVEN STUDENTS JUSTIFY DISCRIMINATION IN COLLEGES AGAINST SC/STs BECAUSE OF THEIR QUOTA], AND DO NOT RAISE THEIR VOICES AGAINST MANAGEMENT QUOTA. THEY SAY SC/ST DOCTORS ARE NOT CAPABLE OF TREATING PEOPLE AND DO NOT SAY SO FOR MANAGEMENT QUOTA GUYS, WHO BUY SEATS AND GET MBBS DEGREE FROM A PRIVATE COLLEGE RUNNING IN SUBSTANDARD CONDITIONS. THEY DO NOT SAY SO ABOUT DEFENCE GUYS, GOVT QUOTA GUYS , NRI QUOTA GUY'S. IF ACCORDING TO THEM, SC/STs DESERVE DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE OF THEIR QUOTA, WHY DO NOT THEY TREAT MANAGEMENT, DEFENCE, GOVERMENT, HANDICAPPED, AND NRI QUOTA GUYS THIS WAY.

@ anonymous..

to mk it clear to evrybody once again.. I would again add.. that yfe is against all sort of quota"s dat r dividing country on any such basis..e it caste, creed sex etc... we want no development on risk of country's division n it's quality degradation of education system..

management quota system will b considered as u'r due suggestion n will be surely worked upon.
thanx.
